GAMEPLAY RULES
ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 4 PLAYERS. ATG RECOMMENDS 5. If your team shows up with only 3 players & 1 gets injured, your team will forfeit automatically and take a loss.
Two Points will be scored for each basket shot from within the 3-point arc; shots from behind the 3-point arc count as three points
3-pointers are high school line, NOT COLLEGE
After each basket, the opposite team checks the ball behind the 3-point line. NO NEED TO give it to the ref
Teams will switch possession after each made shot. NO MAKERS.
Home team will shoot for the ball from behind the 3-point arc to determine who starts with the first possession of the game. Make it, Take it. Miss it, Give it up
After each change of possession (missed shot, steal, block), the ball must be cleared (NO MATTER WHAT) behind the 3-point arc. If a team scores a basket without taking the ball back, the basket will NOT COUNT but the team will still keep possession
Fouls:
Shooting fouls result in 1 free throw. Non-shooting fouls result in check-up-top
Made free throw = 1 point
Make it, take it. Miss it, play the rebound
AND-1’s are count the basket & same team takes the ball
Technical/Intentional Fouls = 1 free throw
Miss or Make the free throw, team who got fouled gets the ball back
Two technical fouls on the same player = ejection from the game
2 halves (12 minutes each)
1:00 minute halftime
Each team has two 30-second timeouts
If the game is tied at the end of regulation, there will be a 2 minute OVERTIME period. If the game is still tied at the end of overtime, the game will result in a tie.
Substitutions will be available on any dead ball or check-up
Fighting:
Any kind of fighting will result in the player being ejected from the rest of the night. At the ref’s discretion, team may be disqualified from league without any refund and law enforcement may be involved
NO EXCEPTIONS. WE TAKE FIGHTING VERY SERIOUSLY
